Course Description:
This 6.5-hour course will assist design professionals in designing more accessible pedestrian facilities by utilizing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the International Building Code (IBC), and the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) as both references and as a framework. The course defines public rights-of-way, discusses accessible pedestrian access routes, street crossings, parking and transits stops, and explores the shared use path guidelines.
