Do you use a wheelchair for mobility and love to travel? It is important to know ahead of time what the ADA requires of airports, airlines, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and who to contact when these entities are not following ADA stipulations. Further, preparing well for travel makes the world of difference in assuring your mobility equipment arrives at your destination safely and in good working condition. Often people mistakenly assume airlines know how to properly handle wheelchairs. This session’s presenter is a nationally renowned leader in providing accessibility-related services which includes assisting airlines and airports comply with the Air Carrier Access Act (ACCA). In this presentation she will provide proven and practical tips and information regarding the best ways to maneuver a wheelchair through air travel and have the least complications.
