Doorways, turning radii, interior and exterior paths, and reach ranges, are just a few of the elements assessed and noted in a comprehensive report delivered to the client.

Facility Assessments

Our facility assessment service includes a comprehensive assessment of properties, businesses, and facilities to ensure they meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Parking requirements, ramps and stairways, and public restrooms are just a few of the areas assessed and noted in a detailed report delivered to the client. *

*Texas plan reviews and assessments have different requirements. See below.

Texas Facility Inspections

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) enforces The Elimination of Architectural Barriers law meant to ensure that Texas buildings and facilities are accessible and functional for all people with disabilities. The statute requires compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), based on the Ada, but more stringent.

Accessology employs multiple Registered Accessibility Specialists (RAS) who are licensed professionals in the state of Texas, authorized to inspect and ensure that buildings and public spaces comply with the TAS. If your facility is in Texas and the construction cost is over $50,000, a RAS must review the construction documents and conduct the inspection. Our experienced RAS team will guide you through the process and paperwork.
