2019 Annual Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs Conference – July 26th
The Second Annual Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs Conference will serve as a statewide form for public entities, advocates, legislators, educators, employers, and service providers to gain essential information and resources relative to accessibility in to encourage a fully inclusive society.
The Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs (GODA) will host this conference on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 1201 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 (The Claiborne Building).
The GODA Conference is free to attend and will feature national accessibility expert Kristi J. Avalos, the President and CEO of Accessology.
Disability advocates, elected officals, individuals serving the public, and all other interested parties are incouraged to attend. Those in attendance will be able to participate in a Q & A session with keynote speaker – Kristi Avalos – and discuss various topics relative to accessibility and accommodations in Louisiana.
There will also be breakout sessions regarding different topics pertaining to education, employment, healthcare, housing, emergency preparedness, transportation and other matters important to the disability community.
