04/08/2021 – Residential Accessibility – Designing for Multi-Family Housing under ADA, FHA, & TDHCA – Webinar
This webinar will provide a total of 5 instructional hours needed for professionals who design, construct, or manage multi-family housing projects. Multi-family housing in all states must comply with various civil rights laws and regulations including the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Right now, multi-family housing is a hotbed for litigation. It can also be a costly fix if improperly designed and constructed. This course will cover in-depth accessibility and construction standards applicable to multi-family housing projects. While the majority of this course is applicable nationwide, we will be dedicating a portion of time to the state of Texas in regards to TDHCA and funding. This course qualifies for most CEU/LU/HSW credits and a certificate of participation will be provided for self-reporting.
